Nidan has been recognized by Foundation of MSME cluster (FMC) as a Responsible Indian Business Membership Organisation during 3rd annual award function, organised by MSME with the support of Department of Science and Technology, Government of India at India International center, New Delhi. Mr. K K Jalan, Secretary MSME, Govt. of India and Sri Mahesh Gulathi, Executive Director, Foundation of MSME cluster (FMC) given an appreciation certificate and trophy as a finalist at country level category. Nidan got this recognition for the initiative – “Creating business opportunities to rural women through establishment of Decentralised units for production of fortified food.”
FMC organizes an annual Sustainability Award to recognize the good work done by Business Member Organizations (BMOs) also known as Industry Associations or Chambers of Commerce. The Third Award for Responsible Indian BMOs was held on 10 th February, 2017 at India International Centre, New Delhi. The award is given for 4 types of BMOs intervention at different level as cluster, District and State/Country. A case study of nidan has been also published in the journal issued by FMC – Promoting Responsible Business by BMOs-issue III Under the heading “Wheatamix- Fortified Food Attacks Malnutrition”
After crossing the two levels of selection, nidan was called by the jury members under the chairmanship of Sri S k Tuteja, Former Secretary, Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) for a presentation regarding the initiative. Sri Rakesh Tripathi, Senior Program Head of Nidan was in lead role in the whole process.
