A new beginning has been initiated for empowerment of Mahadalits with the launch of Skill Training Programme on Solid Waste Management. This training programme will be facilitated by Nidan with the support of Bihar Mahadalit Vikas Mission. This job oriented training project titled as “Dashrath Manjhi Kaushal Vikas Yojna” was officially launched earlier in Gaya district by Nitish Kumar, Honorable Chief Minister of Bihar. The 15 days training programme in Solid Waste Management was inaugurated on 8th May 2010, at Sudama Bhawan training center of Nidan by Mr. Harendra Srivastava, District Welfare Officer, Patna.(DWO). Ms. Devjani Kar, SPM and Ms. Naazish Bano, SPO from Bihar Mahadalit Vikash Mission were the special guests of the inauguration function.
