The inauguration for the training session in Kerala took place on 21st June 2024 at S.P Grand Hotel where many eminent officials graced the event with their presence and emphasized the importance of street vendors following the food safety & hygiene practices. Mr. Jacob Thomas, Joint Commissioner of Food Safety, Kerala, Mr. Aji. S, Deputy Commissioner of Food Safety, Trivandrum, Mr. Anil Kumar Assistant Commissioner of Food Safety, Trivandrum, Mr. R. Narayana Head Corporate Affairs, South Branch, Nestle, Mr. Joy Sacharias, Regional Corporate Affairs Manager, Ms. Sangeeta Singh, Head – Gender, Advocacy & Enterprise Development , NIDAN attended the event. Eminent guest shared their knowledge and emphasized how street food vendors can follow food safety & hygiene practices that will improve their livelihood and also create a new notion among the customers that street food is safe food. Lamp lighting was done for the kickstart of the training and a mannequin reveal was also done. The session was insightful for the participants.
