Under the Integrated Rural Development Project, women from Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in Madhubani district participated in an exposure visit to Sudridh Mishrit Aahar Utpadan Kendra, Muzaffarpur—a successful example of a community-led livelihood initiative.
The exposure visit aimed to provide practical learning opportunities by showcasing a functioning model of sustainable and inclusive rural livelihoods. During the visit, SHG women interacted with members of the production unit to understand operational processes, quality standards, collective management, and market linkages involved in fortified food production.

This hands-on experience enabled participants to gain insights into income-generation opportunities, women-led enterprise development, and the importance of collective ownership in strengthening rural economies. The visit also encouraged knowledge exchange and peer learning, empowering SHG women to explore similar livelihood pathways within their own communities.
Such exposure visits play a vital role in promoting inclusive growth and rural transformation by building capacities, enhancing confidence, and supporting community-driven development models that ensure long-term sustainability.
