As part of the integrated rural development initiative in Babubarhi block, Madhubani, an awareness meeting was organised in Khadak Bani village with makhana-producing farmers.
Under the Integrated Rural Development Project, women from Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in Madhubani district participated in an exposure visit to Sudridh Mishrit Aahar Utpadan Kendra, Muzaffarpur—a successful example of a community-led livelihood initiative. The exposure visit aimed to provide practical learning opportunities by showcasing a functioning model of sustainable and inclusive rural livelihoods. During the visit, SHG women interacted with members of the production unit to understand operational processes, quality standards, collective management, and market linkages involved in fortified food production.
A program was launched at Jaiswal Hall in Babu Barhi Block, Madhubani District, with the support of LIC and Nidan. The event marked the beginning of activities across seven villages in the block. During the launch, a vehicle dedicated to Poshan Maah was flagged off by representatives from the District DIC to spread awareness in the community. The program was attended by block-level staff, public representatives, and key supporters from LIC. From Nidan, Founder Arvind Singh, along with Deepak Ji, Pramod Singh, and Yashwant Kumar, actively participated. Dedicated Nidan team members and supporters were also present to ensure the success of the initiative.
