On the occasion of International Women’s Day (8 March), a series of community workshops were organized across the villages of Chaurahi, Murhaddi, Pirhi, and Satghara in Madhubani. The day was celebrated as a tribute to the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women, while reinforcing the importance of rights, equality, and collective action.
Around 25 aspiring entrepreneurs from Pirhi, Tirhuta, Khargabanni, and Chaurahi villages participated in the programme. The training focused on building skills in small business management, planning, and growth strategies, helping participants strengthen their entrepreneurial capabilities.
The initiative aims to improve household lighting, enhance energy access, and promote the use of sustainable and clean energy solutions in rural communities.
Around 100–115 community members received medical check-ups during the camp. Free medicines were distributed, and basic diagnostic tests were also conducted to ensure better access to essential healthcare services.
With the support of the Village Development Council (VDC) and local villagers, site visits were conducted in Murhaddi to finalise locations for installing solar street lights.
Under the LICHFL-supported Integrated Rural Development Project in Babubarhi block of Madhubani district, focused efforts are being made to revive sustainable livelihood opportunities in flood-prone villages.

A significant meeting was held at the DWSC Office, Purnea, with the District Collector (DC), Director, and DDC to review the progress of the GOBARdhan Project. Following the meeting, a joint site visit was conducted at the Harda GOBARdhan plant along with the DC, BC, and the Honorable Mukhiya.
Under the Madhubani Project, a biogas awareness and capacity-building session was organised with members of Udaan CLF, Belwa, Kishanganj. The session aimed to build understanding around clean and sustainable energy solutions while strengthening women’s role in community-led development.
