A literacy training program has been launched in Chaurahi village, aimed at teaching basic reading, writing, and arithmetic to women above the age of 21, with a strong focus on empowerment and self-reliance. The initiative is helping participants move from using thumbprints to confidently signing their names.
The program builds on the success of earlier training sessions conducted by Nidan in collaboration with LIC Housing Finance Ltd. (LIC HFL). On March 26, 2026, the program concluded in Pirhi village, where all participants learned to write their names. The closing session was attended by Jeevika’s BPM Digambar Chaudhary, CC Rakesh Kumar, Pappu Kumar, along with Nidan’s Program Coordinator and Field Coordinator.
A day later, on March 27, 2026, the literacy program also concluded in Murhaddi village, achieving similar outcomes, with all participants successfully learning to write their names—marking a significant step toward independence and empowerment.
