Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society (BRLPS) – Jeevika is organising “Saras Mela” at Gyan Bhavan, Gandhi Maidan, Patna from 12 to 21 September 2025. The fair serves as a dynamic platform for women’s empowerment, especially for Jeevika Didis who are associated with various state government livelihood schemes.
A new beginning for 20 street food vendors in Katihar, beneficiaries of the PM SVANidhi Yojana, as they receive modern push carts through an initiative implemented by NIDAN with the support of SIDBI.
With the generous support of Nestlé, Nidan has extended relief to families impacted by the recent floods in Punjab. As part of this initiative, dry ration kits are being distributed to ensure that vulnerable communities are not left behind in these testing times. This effort reflects our shared commitment to stand by those in need and bring hope where it is most needed.
Nidan organised a Teacher’s Day celebration at Hurnali School, located in Hurnali Panchayat of Simaria block, Chatra district, as part of the Model Village Programme. The event brought together teachers, Panchayat representatives, students, and community members in a collective spirit of respect and gratitude.
Following the launch of the Model Village Programme, we are glad to share that Nidan participated in the 76th Van Mahotsav month-long event on official invitation from the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Department of Forest, Environment & Climate Change, Chatra South Division, Jharkhand.
Through the Model Village Programme, Nidan is working to uplift five villages in Maharashtra by ensuring access to clean drinking water, improved healthcare, sustainable agriculture, quality education, and income opportunities for rural women. A new chapter of rural development starts here.
