The Ministry of Rural Development–assisted SARAS Fair 2025, organized by JEEVIKA (SRLM Bihar) at Gandhi Maidan, Patna from 12–28 December 2025, is providing a vibrant national platform to celebrate rural entrepreneurship, innovation, and women-led enterprises from across the country.
NIDAN is proud to be part of this initiative through its partnership with the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) and JEEVIKA, supporting a women-led SHG microfood enterprise from Bihar. At the heart of this collaboration is Sangam Cluster Level Federation (CLF) from Mushahari block, Muzaffarpur, which is showcasing its FMCG snack brand “PoshTara” at the fair.

PoshTara represents a new generation of healthy, affordable, and nutritious snack options, rooted in local production and designed to promote better dietary choices. Developed and managed by women SHG members, the brand reflects a strong commitment to nutrition, quality, and sustainability while creating meaningful livelihood opportunities for rural women.
By bringing millet-based and nutrition-focused snacks to a national marketplace like SARAS Fair, the initiative highlights the potential of women-led micro-enterprises to contribute to nutrition security, local economies, and inclusive growth. It also reinforces the importance of strengthening local value chains and promoting vocal-for-local products that combine health with purpose.

Through partnerships and community-led models, NIDAN continues to support enterprises that integrate nutrition, livelihoods, and women’s empowerment, demonstrating how rural entrepreneurship can play a transformative role in building healthier communities.
